we stay high, you look so pretty

Tove Lo commanded the stage this past week in Los Angeles while performing at one of LA’s newest venues The Bellwether. The Dirt Femme tour which started in early September in Saint Paul, MN is nearing its close here in Los Angeles before heading to San Francisco and lastly Texas. With a three member band, a cloudy space-like set and drum head showcasing a drawing of a vagina Tove Lo kicked off the show in a futuristic silver body suit and a ponytail that rivals Ariana Grande while singing 'Pineapple Slice'.

Next on the setlist was 'Attention Whore', 'Cool Girl' and my personal favorite 'Are U gonna tell her?' She leaves the stage and reenters wearing a black metal ring studded bralette and matching chaps. In what can be described as a highly anticipated moment in any Tove Lo show, Tove Lo flashes the crowd while singing her smash hit 'Talking Body'. She follows up this staple moment with hits 'disco tits' and 'Glad He’s Gone'. While standing center stage with wind in her hair and the light beaming down, Tove Lo serenaded the crowd with 'Borderline', featured on the Dirt Femme Extended Cut. Winding down the night she sings a beautiful ballad rendition of Robyns 'Dancing on My Own' saying it is one of her favorite songs. After exiting the stage after the final song Tove Lo returns wearing her second body suit of the night, this time a colorful geometric piece with knee high white boots. Performing two encore songs, her 8x platinum single 'Habits' and the second single from Dirt Femme, 'No One Dies from Love', Tove Lo ends the night to a roaring crowd. If you ever get the chance to see Tove Lo live, take it. She fearlessly commands the stage, engages with the crowd and sings beautifully live.
