Feel the 'Rush' as JUNNY Brings 'dopamine' Tour to Los Angeles Fans

K-Pop/ RnB artist JUNNY (주니) recently completed his ten stop North American dopamine tour. Beginning in his hometown Vancouver on October 28th and hitting cities Montreal, Brooklyn, Atlanta and San Francisco, the singer made his return to Los Angeles on November 10th to perform at the 1720.

With openers Hoyhun, Hugo Basclain and Irene Wong the night started off with a variety of sounds and the talented artists increased the anticipation as the crowd's own dopamine levels began to rise. Special guest Dual took the stage and hit us with a DJ set of throwback LA hits like ‘California Love’ by Tupac to pump up the crowd before joining JUNNY as his DJ for the night.

Making his way on stage, JUNNY received loud cheers as the first notes of ‘RUSH (feat. Bobby)’ hit the audience’s ears. Stepping out in a collared shirt, grey cardigan and black leather gloves, he screams “Are you ready to get fucked up?”, we sure are. The singer-songwriter looked at ease as he made his way around the stage confidently singing to the crowd and throwing in some hip thrusts as he enthusiastically performed ‘Aura (feat. PH-1)’ , ‘TASTE’ and ‘EARLY (feat. DUT2)’. JUNNY made note of the beautiful fans, stating that he sees “some old faces, new faces and sexy beautiful faces” before heading into a few fan favorites, including ‘Not About You’ off his first full album blanc. Cooling off himself, but only adding fuel to the heated crowd, JUNNY takes upbeat, feel good ’Optimist (feat BLASE)’ to pour water on himself. He extends the waterworks to the fired up crowd during ‘Here We Go Again’ as they jump along to the track.

Originally worried he wouldn’t be able to give his 200%, having flown into the city earlier in the day, JUNNY notes “you guys are un-fucking believable!” to the now baptized crowd. JUNNIVERSE, the artist's fandom name, continue their enthusiasm singing along to slow and sexy ‘INVITATION (Feat. Gaeko)’, a song that fans would quickly RSVP to. Seemingly at home on stage, JUNNY continues to bring the crowd along for the high as he delivers an exciting and memorable show.

Encouraging fans to sing along if they knew the words to the next track, JUNNY broke out into a smile as JUNNIVERSE shouted along at the first note of ‘solo’. After taking a moment to slow things down, JUNNY took a brief pause to change outfits, returning back on stage in an all denim fit. Exciting both old and new fans, JUNNY's set displayed songs from all across his discography, highlighting past hits, fan favorites and new tracks off 2024 dopamine - including 2020 single ‘By My Side’, 2021 ‘nostalgia (Feat JAY B)’ and 2024 ’Complications (Feat SOLE)’.

“Are you guys ready to dance? Are you ready to sing?”, shouted JUNNY as he amped the crowd back up during ‘Daylight’ and ‘Color Me’ (Feat. CHUNG HA). Even though the singer doesn’t feature choreographed numbers among his songs, he still shows the Los Angeles crowd his moves, smoothly dancing across the stage while effortlessly hitting every high note.

Wrapping up the show, fans intently listen as JUNNY sings ‘figure8’, an emotional ballad off dopamine. While a solemn moment within the show, it easily stands out as a highlight as we get to focus on the power in his raw vocals as JUNNY delivers a heartfelt performance of the track. Fans join in by flooding the dark venue with their flashlights, taking in the solace of the song and admiring the artist's talents. Phones high to capture JUNNY's last song, the crowd sings along to track ‘Thank You’ before erupting in screams for JUNNY as he heads off stage.

The show isn’t over yet, as JUNNY heads back on stage to perform encore tracks ‘Invitation’ and ‘RUSH’ once more. Fans take the moment to hand some gifts off to the artist, and JUNNY happily dons a fan-signed flag across his shoulders as he performs his final tracks.

Warehouse venues are always a vibe, allowing artists to deliver up close and intimate performances among fans, but we look forward to watching the ever expanding JUNNIVERSE bring Junny's talents to large scale venues. Bringing dopamine to Los Angeles, JUNNY delivered a performance of insane vocals and alluring dance moves all while taking the audience for the thrill ride of highs and lows, leaving fans euphoric.
