Surrounded by a live band, JYP entered the stage as it’s gold curtains rose, revealing the artist in a three piece polka dot suit atop a set of stairs. The stage, set up like a jazz club, featured bass, guitar, keyboard, piano, background vocalists, a brass section and drums, the full band bringing every track to life.

JYP spent the night channeling both Velma and Gene Kelly performing high energy jazz steps, chasse ball changing and pas de bouree-ing across the stage. Starting the show with “Don’t Leave Me,” “Proposal Song,” and “She Was Pretty,” JYP explained these were his first three songs to be released as a singer, all three charting at number one. Proclaiming, “and you guys are still singing [them] 30 years later.” With the success of his music he noted the desire to carry on that success to other artists, leading to the creation of JYP Entertainment

Moving into the second segment, Park performed tracks created for fellow artists, including Jinju’s “I will Survive,” Rain’s “How to Avoid the Sun,” and “Love and Memory” by g.o.d. Dancing the iconic Park Jiyoon number “Coming of Age Ceremony,” and performing hit 2PM number “Again and Again,” The Asiansoul had the crowd on their feet dancing along.

Chronicling the next chapter of his story, Park led into the following numbers by stating they were about forbidden love, having written them around a turning point in his personal life and realizing they were all songs about loving someone you shouldn’t. 난 여기가 있는데 (I Have a Lover) slowed things down and fans in the audience swayed and sang along to the track before performing Byul (별) duet 안부 (Greetings), to which Park instructed the audience to complete the duet using the lyrics shown on screen.

Sitting at the piano, Park went on to play more sentimental ballads, “너의 뒤에서 (Behind You),” 2AM’s “또 한번 사랑은 가고 (Love Has Left Again)” and what he states is the “biggest hit I ever wrote,” g.o.d’s “거짓말 (Lie).”

His vibrant personality, unwavering confidence and bright smile continuing to fill the theatre, *whispers* JYP next led into a medley of Wonder Girls tracks. Performing “Tell Me,” “So Hot,” and “Nobody,” the performer unleashed his inner diva after detailing his experience as the song’s original choreographer.

Between handcuffing a fan to an interrogation table, we’ll get there, the artist performed more of his most memorable hits “When We Disco” and “FEVER,” with many fans dancing along through the aisles. Taking the numbers to showcase his iconic high energy choreography, the artist continues to show his his stamina and showmanship. With the crowd chanting his name, the dancing queen responds “Don’t worry, we’re just getting started! It’s my last show anyway, I don’t care!” After explaining his next track is about a man eater, asking if any one in the crowd has broken a lot of men’s hearts, he invited one lucky fan form the balcony onstage. Making her way onstage it is revealed she is wearing JYP’s iconic plastic pants, to which he exclaims “I didn’t even see her pants!” Handcuffing her to the table as he played the piano, he serenaded the fan with his newest track "Easy Lover.

Appearing in a blue blazer with cream pants and smoke flowing around him, he takes a moment to listen to the crowd singing the words of encore track “십년이 지나도 (Even After 10 Years).” Finishing off his 30th anniversary tour, J.Y. Park performs “날 떠나지마 (Don't Leave Me).” With the promise of returning, “LA can you survive another year? We’re going to meet again here,” J.Y. Park exits the stage as fans cheer and wave on the idol. With a career spanning 30 years, J.Y.
