Xikers definitely brought the party to The Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles this past week while on their world tour TRICKY HOUSE: First Encounter in US. Singing to a near sold out house the city welcomes back the group after their appearance at this years KCON in August.
Consisting of ten members, Minjae, Junmin, Sumin, Jinsik, Hyunwoo, Hunter, Junghoon, Seeun, Yujun and Yechan the group debuted just this year with their EP HOUSE OF TRICKY: Doorbell Ringing. However, missing from the group's tour is member Junghoon who is currently on hiatus due to an injury, and we hope to see him rejoin the boys soon. Part of KQ Entertainment, the group released their second EP shorty after titled HOUSE OF TRICKY: HOW TO PLAY which features fan favorites like 'Koong' and 'DO or DIE'.
The group opened up the show with their hit single 'TRICKY HOUSE' bringing the already screaming crowd to their feet. Following songs 'XIKEY' and 'Iffy', the group divided into teams of three by choosing small colored balls which designated their teams. The first group Sunmin, Seeun, Yechan blew up the stage covering BTS’ 'Dynamite', followed by Junmin, Yujun, Minjae who killed NCT 127’s 'Cherry Bomb' and lastly Hunter, Jinsik, Hyunwoo dominating Seventeen’s 'Super'.
The nine members joined together to finish off this dance number with ATEEZ’s Bouncy in which they danced the second chorus filling up the stage.
“Whats 2+2+2+2?” Hunter rightly asks as the boys gather after their dance tribute.
At this point the crowd is already in a state of delulu and dropping one final blow, in what can be described as the most heated moment of the show, Hunter and Junmin perform a dance number to the The Weeknd's 'Die for You' in which they even offer a glimpse of their abs leaving the crowd in hysteria.
Rounding out their performance Xikers comes to a close with 'Skater', and 'Do or Die'. As they exit the stage the members appear on screen offering a moment of stretching for their fans, encouraging them to stretch out their arms and legs before appearing to raise the tension one last time for the encore.
With an encore of 'Sunny Side', 'Homeboy' and 'Rockstar' the members take their time in saying one final goodbye to the screaming crowd.
It's not tricky to see why this group has been feeling like a star! Their popularity continues to rise and will no doubt be along the likes of fellow company titan ATEEZ. Racking up fans at incredible speed, 100k album sales in the first week of their debut EP and their world tour underway xikers is definitely the rookie group to look out for.
After five US stops, Xikers finishes out their tour on November 4th in San Francisco.
